  46. You might be talking about Intel's Neptune chipset (handles PCI and
  47. other goodies I think) that many systems are based on.  Taking a look
  48. at the WindowsNT 3.5 service pack #2, it appears they fixed a few bugs
  49. in WinNT when dealing with the Neptune chipset.  You might need to
  50. install that.  It's eight disks worth and is on Microsoft's ftp site
  51. (ftp.microsoft.com) in the bussys directory somewhere if I remember
  52. right.  There are a few good WWW sites with NT information as well though
  53. good 32 bit software is far and few between.  :(

  55. I should also mention that those looking at systems using the Intel
  56. Triton chipset (Intel's Neptune replacement with even more performance
  57. enhancing features), I've got a system based on the ASUS motherboard
  58. using the Triton chipset and it's cranking along with WindowsNT.  The
  59. system is eagerly awaiting when LW 4.0 will be installed on it!  :)
  60. This same new chipset is also being used on the latest motherboards from
  61. various places and in systems from Dell, Gateway and Micron.
